Denmark and Faroe to Romanian penitentiaries

For the first time in Romania, those from the Faroe Islands, accompanied by two of our older friends, from Denmark, visited 4 prisons where the Rescue Foundation is active.

We started on Monday with a visit to the Gherla Penitentiary where the new friends came in contact with two groups of detainees, one of men and the other of women. At these two meetings, there were about 80 people deprived of their liberty who heard the testimonies of the Faeroes, as well as a short message of Christ's love and sacrifice.

The week continued with a new visit to the Cluj penitentiary, where, during two meetings, about 70 women prisoners of this prison have heard how important it is to cry out to God and tell him what your problems are. Also, from the Faeroe Islands, two testimonies were told, revealing the greatness and power of God.

On Wednesday, we also visited Aiud's maximum security penitentiary. In this place testimonies have been said, both by the visiting ones and by the detainees who have reconciled themselves to God, only in the penitentiary.

The maximum security penitentiary in Arad was the last visit to the ferries. About 120 people have heard about the message of Jesus love, from the Faroese and Danish. We were glad that the music group "Sirion" was back with us.

Everywhere they visited, there were people who wanted to surrender their lives to God and accept Him as a personal Father and Savior, wishing to start a new life full of hope. Each of those attending the meetings received, at the departure, Christian literature and a stamped envelope. We want God to work in their lives and guide them on the Path.
