A different and interesting project for us was conducted for over 2 months. At the end of 2015, our collaborators in Denmark sent to Romania several pieces of old kindergarten furniture but still in good shape. We took this opportunity to start a project with Aiud Maximum Security Penitentiary, where through the staff kindness and prisoners effort, we were able to restore the pieces of this furniture. The chairs and the tables were sanded, repaired and were painted cartoons on them. All these pieces were donated two months later, on 16th of December 2015 in the village kindergarten Mirăslău, Alba Iulia. The event was attended by the director of education from Aiud Prison and the director of the ”Rescue” Foundation, which carried out this project. We wanted this approach to help both children, who will enjoy a new decoration in their kindergartens and also prisoners who need an accurate perception of the society through the contribution of property that returns among their peers.
