On 13 November, Rescue Humanitarian Foundation in collaboration with the Foundation Estuar Cluj and Aiud Penitentiary held an information session and discussion on mental health issues. It was organized on the occasion of World Mental Health Day.
This meeting was attended by 27 detainees who have a mental disorder. Topics presented by Psychiatrist Camelia Deacand Maria Chindris - Coordinator Centre Foundation Estuar included: the notion of mental illness, predictors of mental disorders, the concept of stress, sadness and depression, worry and anxitate, ways to keep your mental health , socialservices provide by center Estuar.
Participants were actively asking questions about their health problems and possibilities to deal with psychological problems they have and on how to keep their sanity in an environment like prison.
At the end of the meeting participants were given brochures and flyers with information about the most common mentaldisorders, stress factors and ways to maintain mental health.
