On September 12th , five young volunteers from Elim Pentecostal Church, Cluj Napoca went to Aiud Prison to tell those people once again that God loves them regardless of the mistake committed.
We sat in a circle, wanting them to feel accepted and together we sang: "No, we're not a dream or a chance." The message delivered by brother Lucian Vonica was from Philippians 3 where it says: "... Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
God gave us a blessed time and we had useful discussions. They have opened their hearts and ask for help in prayer for their lives. They told us their struggles, disappointments, believing that God is one who can forgive and transform. His love united us all, we from outside, they from inside. I realized that each are weak and that without Him we can do nothing. No good works are not ours but are prepared beforehand that we should follow him in them.
When Christ is present, the chains that keep them tied to so many people fall to the ground and their hearts open to receive release ... true desiring liberation.
Finally, we prayed with them that Jesus be in their hearts. We know that it is God who listen and heed the prayer of faith.
We go with God because we know He has a plan for inmates from Aiud.
