At the express request of the Aiud Penitentiary, together with the “Rugul Aprins” Church in Cluj, the humanitarian foundation Rescue organized a special program for the International Family Day.

At the express request of the Aiud Penitentiary, together with the “Rugul Aprins” Church in Cluj, the humanitarian foundation Rescue organized a special program for the International Family Day.

Approximately 70 persons deprived of freedom have participated to the event, persons who for two hours have listened to songs and a short message about the importance of the family within the society and the role of the men in the family. Open discussion took place during tasting cookies and having a glass of jus, showing their interest for the topic. Late tears for those who have lost their families, joy and hope for the others, new decisions for the future, in a word: a very happy meeting.

At the end of the program, with the involved brothers and of the “Rugul Aprins” church, we offered to all the participants products for personal hygiene and a stamped envelope so they could keep in touch with their families.

We thank God and to those involved, as well as to the Aiud Penitentiary.

  • My sinful soul rejoice when it got to know God

    I met you, in a place called “hell” and my sinful soul rejoiced when it got to know God and hear of His Love for humans, and of His great sacrifice -the only beloved Son. If God made this sacrifice for all people, my answer is that I want to be like you, not to be ashamed of myself, to become a child of God, to return Home to my Father, and to do what He wanted me to do.
